Today Kal,Shaylie and I went out to the movies to see Monsters V's Aliens. What a good show.To make it even better it was in 3-D and the effects were pretty impressive.I don't know if you heard of the brazen jewellery store robbery but fortunately we were no where near westfields at the time.It happened well before we were there.Shaylie had a very busy social schedule when we returned home. She had to go to starlight room and then be back in time for the kids pizza cooking class that was being held at the house. All the kids had a blast and i would've sworn that there was pizza bases spread all over the kitchen floor because that's where most of the toppings ended up.Apart from that the little chef's did a sterling job and the end prodoct tasted really good.I didn't try all of the creations because lets just say some of the toppings were a little on the exotic side.
Later on Kal and I sat down and watched RPA and both of us were quite touched by the young guy going through the same thing as Kal but on a much bigger scale. This poor kid has had his tumor spread to his lungs and the tumor in his arm is so big they have to amputate for him to have any hope of survival.Through some pretty watery eyes Kal said he feels so lucky and he's gonna make the most of it.I don't know if lucky is the right word but he certainly has the right attitude.I don't think you could be considered lucky when you have any form of cancer.his story continues next week and despite it being a little too close too home we will be tuning in.

As Lee has already mentioned in her comment, Judd's funeral was an amazing tribute to both him and his family. He certainly has left an extraordinary number of people touched by his life. To say that he will be dearly missed is a huge understatement. The Greedy family are in our hearts at this time. As Leyanne has stated already, the first thing both Julie and Rob said was "How is our Kal going?" To think that at such a time they are still thinking of you Kal, you mean a lot to both of them. Today has been a day that will stay in my thoughts for a long time. My deepest sympathy and love go to Julie, Rob and Elissa at this time of their greatest sadness.
Yes, I too watched RPA tonight and also felt so blessed that you did not have to suffer what Daniel has had to go through. I guess we have to be thankful for the blessings we have.
Sounds like the kids are having a great time during these holidays at the house, with all the activities planned for them. It's so good to see them being allowed in the kitchen. I'm sure Shaylie will make the most of those occasions.
I will see you all soon, lots of love as always
Nanny Carol
So proud of you Kal. I love you. Netty
It sounds like the kids had an absolute blast in the kitchen with the pizzas. I can just imagine the toppings all over the floor. bit like sitting with Sas at the dinner table......
And exotic toppings....I can imagine. Pumpkin and strawberry jam anyone?
I guess it would be hard not to feel like you had come off a bit lighter after seeing what the lad on RPA had to endure. You've got such a great attitude about it all Kal. So determined. It's amazing how well you can use your arm. I couldn't believe what you were able to manage at Aidens party, very impressive. It's obvious you're trying so hard and giving your arm the best chance. love K,M,I & Sxxxx
