Another quiet day

It was a pretty quiet day for Kal today. With it being so hot it's not possible for Kal to spend much time outside.Apart from coming with me to have my back looked at it was very much an indoors day. When we returned from the chiropracter Kal had a package in the mail.Inside was a letter and several bandaged bear posters of Kallan.I think i was more excited than Kal he just seemed to take it in his stride.I've got a few to hand out to family and in the letter it says i can have more if need be.As time draws closer to heading back down to sydney kallan continues to be unfazed about what awaits him.I suppose you could put it down to been there done that but i think it has more to do with him becoming more battle hardened if you will.I know he would rather not go through it but as he said to a nurse in surgical ward "i just want get it over with so i can go home and not come back".Something tells me that when it's all over we may go back for a few visits to both the hospital and the house such is the impact this whole experience has had on both of us.

Hi Kal
Glad to hear you are feeling so much better. We were really happy to read how well you recovered from the surgery. You have become quite famous, my workmates always ask after you and look at your blog, as does my friend Cliff in America. We are so proud of you and the strength that you show I dont think many grownups would handle it as well as you have. We of course wish there was more we could do to helpand take some of the hard times away, but we always thing of you and look at your blog every day. we will be down for Nettie and Ron's wedding and look forward to seeing you then (even if you arn't going to be a flower boy)
Lots of love Poppie and Nannny Ruth

Gees you are a trooper Kal, we are all so proud of you. Nanny sent an email to the kids the other day and in closing was saying what a wonderful little man you are, we all agree! I wish I could just give you a big squeeze but I will send plenty with Aunty Al for ya! I wanted to also let you know that we have a scheduled delivery date for this little boy, March 20th and he will be here.
I have been slack about posting on here lately but we check your blog about 5 times a day, which makes about 10 times a day with Al and I doing it!! Every morning Willy comes in and wants to know if there is any news too. You are always in our thoughts Kal Pal!! Love you, K,C,C,BB

It was quite surreal to see the poster of our Kal for the bandage bear campaign. I was so pleased to see that it was just a natural picture of you with the big smile that we have all come to love sooooo much. I have to agree with Poppie Rob when he said how well you have handled yourself during your illness - you make us all so proud. I just feel so much for Aunty Kathryn who is over in America, you better be ready for her millions of cuddles when she catches up with you. I'm sure she will pass some on to Aunty Al when they all get home - just be ready because Aunty Al will have plenty of her own to pass on.
Lots of love always
Nan & Pop
