Kallan got out of hospital today. He is still feeling off but is much better but not his best. He has an appointment on Thursday and after that he gets to return to home in Rutherford.
He has to return to hospital on the 18 December for another appointment and then again on the 29 December for his operation.
On a personal note, I, along with my family, are venturing overseas for six weeks. Aunty Annette will take over update details for a while until I can gain internet access. Bon voyage!

I returned home after spending last week with Kal, Darren and Shaylie. I must say how much I enjoyed being with these special people. I even got to stay with Kal in the ward for two nights so that Darren could spend a little quality time with Shaylie. I must say, I now have a new respect for a nice comfortable bed. Those hospital beds leave a lot to be desired. I don't know how you have slept in them for so long Darren. I also enjoyed meeting the other families in the house, it was very warming to see how much they all get along. Darren, it is not surprising to know, seems to be King of the Kids.
Thank you Kal, Dash and Shaylie for allowing me to spend the time with you all, especially thank you to Kal for the nights I spent with you in the ward. I know how much you love to have dad there with you.
Once again, thanks to you all and don't forget, any time you need me I'll be there like a shot.
Lots of love always
Nanny Carol
Kallan, we love you and have been thinking of you. Give a big snuggle to mum, dad and Shay for me and have them snuggle you back! Hope you get to feeling really good this week.

It's great to hear you're well enough to get out of hospital Kal. We all feel so bad for you when we know you are suffering and it's all getting on top of you. You're a tough cookie and doing such a great job of bearing up during this treatment. I can't imagine how hard it must be for you. It must be nice to stay in the RMH and have a change of scene now, even if you still feel awful. It will be so good to have you up here knowing you can have a good break with all your family around. And I'll bet you're looking forward to sleeping in your own bed! Love Karen, Mark, Isaac & Saskia XXXX
