A PET scan was completed this morning. This pinpoints the exact location of abnormal cell activity within Kallan's body.
This afternoon involved a biopsy. An incision about 6 cm long was made near where his arm meets his chest. The biopsy determines what type of chemotherapy is used and what programme of drugs are used.
Kallan became anxious prior to his biopsy surgery. He was scared.
This anxiousness continued while in recovery. He was given some morphine where he fell asleep and woke quite normal afterwards.
Kallan was to transfer to Westmead Children's Hospital after his biopsy. Due to not recovering very well, he was kept at the RPA and transferred to Westmead the following morning.
